I’ve lived in Kenton since 1988 when my husband John joined the Westbank Practice as a GP (now retired). I worked as a nurse at the RD&E hospital before two children and an art degree - now currently working as an artist. I love living in Kenton and believe that feeling 'connected' to one's community is vital to wellbeing. The church lies at the heart of Kenton - when it was closed in 2019, the thought of the village without it was unimaginable.

I have always been interested in the spiritual element in us and the places and things we create with ‘spirit’ in mind .
Churches are first and foremost spiritual places that offer a different kind of atmosphere, where over the centuries, layers of memories of people exploring both the human and the ‘holy’ spirit are gathered in one place.
Any spiritual place I think needs to be treasured and ASK Friends are playing their part to keep such a place open to all here in Kenton.

As a church member for many years, I felt that beautiful church buildings like All Saints required considerable care and attention, and of course money. For a small congregation and PCC they present a challenge, which would be helped significantly by a Friends group that could help raise money and allow the church family to concentrate on supporting its members.

My family and I moved to Kenton in 2017 and live close to the church; it is part of the community and the building has to be maintained and preserved for future generations.
All my working life was in finance or general management both in the UK and overseas.
ASK Friends is a fantastic initiative for attracting funds which are specifically used to maintain the church.

I have lived in Kenton for seventeen years and before that in Exeter. I have two children and four grandchildren and worked child minding then in Finance for the Devon County Council. I value All Saints church historic building and wish to support ASK Friends in their efforts to maintain it and encourage greater community use of this beautiful building
